I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.
I would like to see the Elected Officials of Cudahy get serious about the real things plaguing our City.
1. Instead of putting all the effort into changing Cudahy into a Part Time Mayor / Full Time Administrator I would like to see even one tenth the amount of time from the city on getting development going. How about disbanding the Reorg Committee and forming a Development Committee that is serious about development. I hear our Econ Director spends more time doing inspections then focusing on development!
2. How about instead of constantly ranking in the bottom of these education studies someone take ownership and responsibility and get corrective action(s) on doing something about it. Focusing light on the subject and asking those parties involved to standup and take responsibility is NOT finger pointing, but a normal and required start. You have to be honest about what is wrong and have the guts to fix it. That is step one! We can stay in denial forever and make excuses after excuses after excuses and we will be in the same place every time. I would consider Cudahy’s placement in the rankings an epic failure and think something needs to be done to address it. We cannot control the parents’ involvement and efforts, but we can at the other levels. We cannot and should not accept the results and just act like any other or every other day.
3. Let’s get a crime suppression unit going and coordinate with Milwaukee, St. Francis, and South Milwaukee and have a major crack down. I love our police force and let’s give them the tools to get it done. I have talked with a few officers and a crime suppression unit is what I hear we need to help clean up the streets, so we need to give them that tool.
- Our Alderpersons need to step up and get a voice and force some issues. We need them to not be afraid to speak their mind and put some action in their actions.
