Family-Friendly New Year's Eve at Mitchell Park Domes
At 6:31 pm the band packs up and makes a quick drive 2.5 miles to the west. After a check on the hammered dulcimer (which can require up to 120 separate tuning peg adjustments), the band starts their second gig at the Mitchell Park Domes!
Come and celebrate a Family-Friendly New Year's Eve at the Mitchell Park Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd (remember that S. Layton Blvd is 27th Street), Milwaukee. The band will be playing from 7:15 - 10 pm. The Domes charge a modest admission of $5 for kids and senior citizens, $6.50 for adults.
Here is another example of the beauty and usefulness of our Milwauee County Parks! The Domes are located in Mitchell Park which is one of the six original parks in the Milwaukee County Park System. The Domes are owned and operated by the Milwaukee County Park System. ( I actually started this blog to write about the Milwaukee County Parks, Parks Friends Groups and events in the parks.) The Domes are yet another way in which these parks enrich our lives.
The band has played at "New Year's at the Domes" a couple of times in the past. This is a great family outing. This year the Domes will close shortly after 10 pm, so it will be a Cape Breton New Year's. (When it's 10 pm in Milwauee, it's 12 midnight in Nova Scotia.)
Note: This posting was adapted from an announcement by the band. The band says "We hope to see you on New Year's Eve, and we wish you a Happy Holidays and a great 2012!"
