I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
The Lose the Training Wheels Bike Camp is this week at Cudahy High School from about 8:00 - 4:00 every day this week. The camp teaches individuals with varying disabilities to transition from a bike with training wheels to riding on only 2 wheels in one weeks time.
The camp is co-sponsored by The Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin and The Autism Society of Southeast Wisconsin.
I know that they have worked with Mayor Day and the Cudahy School District to make this a very exciting week for the kids and their families. It is my understanding that there are some special events planned for Friday when the campers complete the camp.
This is a chance for people from all over the state to see the City of Cudahy, the community that I am proud to call home.
I encourage all Cudahy residents to try and come out and encourage the campers as they make this transition. I know that on Friday, the smiles on the kids faces is priceless. It is your chance to experience what I get to experience on a daily basis with my son.
I hope to see you there
