I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.
Back in 1927, an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six-time candidate for President on the Socialist Party ticket, said that the American people would never vote for socialism but he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program!
This is going out to all of the Republicans and Conservatives out there, that it is time that you understand the rules of the game of life and politics that are in current play brought to us from the left and their Master, Saul Alinsky.
It is our job to be informed of the rules and we need to start to play by the same rules or we will keep getting defeated. These are the rules of the game like them or not!
We don’t have to follow all of them, just understand them so we don’t fall prey to them. Our sense of we must do what is right is a big downfall of ours if we don’t know we are being played.
Gone are the days of fairness and honesty from all and they will only come back if we strike back with the same rules that they are using and force them to stop and play fair.
The Clintons and Obama are masters of this and the rest of the left is using it, so we need to start to use it and understanding them.
This took place in the 1960’s - Before the rules and be put into play, we must own the mediums and the masses.
Embed in school systems to make sure you can force indoctrination of your values
Embed in court system to make sure you can make rules and law. Legislating from the bench trumps all other forms of government.
Embed and take over media to control the messages and package it how you fit to be seen, because it isn't news reporting, it's infotainment.
**** Name call and do personal attacks and include attacks on spelling, grammar and how they are speaking or writing. Make sure to talk about how superior, more educated or better at debating you are than them. It will make you feel better about yourself and your friends will join in on the attack like a wolf pack.
Because Alinsky was sensitive to criticism that he wasn't ethical, he also included a set of rules for the ethics of power tactics. You can see from these why his ethics were so frequently questioned.
Rules to test whether power tactics are ethical:
1. One's concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one's personal interest in the issue.
2. The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.
3. In war the end justifies almost any means.
4. Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.
5. Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.
6. The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.
7. Generally, success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.
8. The morality of means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.
Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals (along with some additional rules the left uses)
Alinsky provides a collection of rules to guide the process. But he emphasizes these rules must be translated into real-life tactics that are fluid and responsive to the situation at hand.
According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”
Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.
Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people. The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.
Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.
Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”
Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”
Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to (re)act to your advantage.”
Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport,
Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?” Deflect as much as possible and use the tactic of redirection and above all do not answer or give a non-answer answer! Just ignore it and claim you did answer it and you are not going to again or give an answer that is wordy so it takes your opponent off guard, confuses them, frustrates them or makes them forget the question, but DO NOT answer them directly no matter how many times they ask!
Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame. Redirect back and keep the focus on your point.
**** Rule 12: Don't Waste A 'Serious Crisis'! Added by Rahm Emanuel: This is the perfect time to get done what you want and the public will be behind you as you tell them it is for the greater good.
**** Rule 13: Don’t compromise when you have the upper hand, but when you don’t get the masses to think it is only fair to compromise and the masses will demand compromise forcing your opponent to bow to the masses’ pressure and compromise. Allows a win win for you! : Added by Obama
**** Rule 14: Confuse the people of what rights and fairness are and you tell them what they are and that someone is trying to take them away! The masses will be up in arms and will revolt while you control the message make sure to use rule 11 while doing this. :Added by the Public Sector Union Leaders in
**** Rule 15: Controlled Anarchy through hypocrisy. Being a hypocrite is liberating since you don’t have to take responsibility and you can do as you wish and demand the others follow the rules. This goes along with rule #4
**** Rule 16: Move to the CENTER and claim you are a fiscal conservative and once the people are behind you they will take their eye off of you and you can move back to the left. This is the classic that liberal politicians use to get elected as the public wants someone it thinks of as in the middle and isn’t radical and will take care of the people’s money like it was their own since all people are fiscal conservatives of their own money.
**** Rule 17: If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. Presentation, not achievement, is all that matters today. People are gullible. They will believe anything as long as you are convincing and if it sounds good, then maybe it is. Give them just enough, but not too much to trip the too good to be true meter.
**** Rule 18: Be quick to claim victory even if the game isn’t over, that way if you lose you can say it was stolen from you. Al Gore
**** Rule 19: If you are losing, just say it was/is someone else’s fault or someone is lying, i.e. Bush’s fault and Fox lies to distract the people from the issues.
**** Rule 20: People want to be led, but feel like they are the ones leading. Most people know they are not leaders, but followers, however they want to feel good about themselves so you need to make them feel like they are leading and you will get their support.
**** Rule 21: If you know you are wrong, just claim you are right - If in doubt, claim your way is the right way. Deny, deny, deny. If someone proves that you are wrong, just claim that what they are showing doesn’t prove anything. If you catch you doing what you are claim the other side is doing, turn it around and say, that doesn’t matter and throw up in the other sides face, two wrongs don’t make a right!
**** Rule 22: Get your opponent in the Trick Bag! "Heads I win, tails you lose" strategy. Force your opponent into a catch 22 no win situation use rule 4 and rule 10 to help accomplish this as it will make you look good and make them look foolish, as they don’t have a proper answer.
**** Rule 23: Find a problem and know the solution before the problem is even understood. This is what Global Warming is when looking at Carbon Credits.
**** Rule 24: You can always conquer and divide but not always divide and conquer. Stand together and keep solidarity. Work as a collective and once you win, then divide up the riches.
**** Rule 25: You can rationalize anything you want, just be convincing, and if it runs counter to past actions just say you changed your mind or opinion on it and that shows growth as an individual. Tell people you are being opened minded on the issue and then slam them as being closed or small minded. Make sure to get that dig or back handed comment in as it will go a long way to throwing the opponent off the subject at hand and put them on the defense.
**** Rule 26: Perception is always reality. Perception can always be manipulated or shaped to your vision. People want the fairytale story or how they wish it was. The truth and reality are harsh and cold and cannot be manipulated.
**** Rule 27: Remember it is harder to prove something than to disprove it. Try to get your opponent to do all the work as they try to keep proving you wrong. This is the time to throw as much on the wall as you can, because some will stick.
**** Rule 28: Compare and Contrast bright and vivid with doom and gloom. Paint the picture you want with bright flashy colors and the one you don’t want with dull dark colors
**** Rule 29: When you hold the ruler, you can measure things as you see fit. You are in control, so you decide the direction and what is happening.
**** Rule 30: Trim facts to fit wants instead of needs or truth. Take things out of context, shorten it up or don’t give all the information because most people wouldn’t know the difference and it is important to get the first strike fast and quickly get people on your side.
**** Rule 31: You know better and you know what better is! Substituting your own personal agenda for that of the best interests and claim you are holding out for something better is what is best for everyone.
**** Rule 32: If you can’t win arguments be determined to silence the other side. In the end, we only want likeminded people and we want others to submit to our will and if they don’t demolish them to the point they become silent and cower in the corner. Make them become a turtle.
**** Rule 33: Claim you are offended in order to demand that the conservative be muzzled and discredited. Modus operandi is especially effective when the supposedly offensive remark has anything to do with race. Invoke ‘civility,’ when it is in our interest (to get conservatives to shut up), but otherwise feel free to use the vilest language possible. Criticize others, for fear of accusations of racism, sexism and every other ism is a powerful tool.
**** Rule 34: Invoke religion when it works for you. Discredit it and make the right look kooky if they do and claim separation of church and state.
**** Rule 35: Count on conservatives to turn on their own since we will back someone no matter what, unless it serves the collective to give up the one for the many.
**** Rule 36: Don’t lie small, lie big. When you do it, do it big as you go for broke. If you are going to get caught make sure it is for something worthy.
**** Rule 37: Encourage conspiracy theories, scandals, or misconduct. Bring out the boogieman of today as often as possible like “Halliburton” or “Koch Brothers”. Create appearance of scandal and misconduct wherever and whenever possible. Demand investigations, even if there is nothing to investigate. It adds to appearance of chaos and misconduct. Media will always bite.
**** Rule 38: Go on the offensive with a class warfare using class envy. Get the masses to feel they are being slighted, taken advantage, or wronged and frame it so the rich always are the bad guys.
**** Rule 39: "Hit-words" - Get a short slick slogan that would fit on a bumper sticker or tee-shirt and if possible rhymes so it is easy to remember and replicate to the masses. It is a must that it needs to be a name calling without being too offensive if attacking the opponent. Keep your religion out of my government! Stone is a clone! Down with Clown
**** Rule 40: Deniable Plausibility - Don’t put anything directly in writing, video, or audio as you will not be able to deny it or claim it is hearsay as you will own it and be held responsible for it.
**** Rule 41: "Drums of War"! Bang a drum or anything in a repetitive manor to unnerve your opponent and disrupt their thinking. Scream, chant, or any kind of noise to disrupt things and cause chaos. When you get in their head and under their skin, you win!
**** Rule 42: Mirrormask - Blame the other side for doing the very thing you are doing but hiding that you are doing it. That way you can claim you were just getting even!
**** Rule 43: Knowledge is power and by depriving swathes of people of knowledge, we retain power over them. Keep them in the dark and feed them only what you want them to know lies or truth.
**** Rule 44: Find the gray area and exploit it. Work in the gray areas as much as possible looking to find where the holes are in the rulebook.
**** Rule 45: Change words if they become powerless or a drag on you. Substitute words like progressive if liberal becomes a bad thing. Change Global Warming to Climate Change.
**** Rule 46: Use Big Words. You need to make your opponent look silly and distract from the item being debated or agued. It is apparent you are losing the battle so attempt to make your opponent look small by using 50cent words like words you would find on the SAT vocabulary building section. We need to show you are superior and an elitist. You are the more educated one and the smarter one, just ask yourself or any other liberal and they will tell you so!
**** Rule 47: Become the debate police/Nazi. When you are losing the battle and find you have no counterattack, nitpick spelling, grammar, or word choice! Attempt to take the focus off of you and that you are losing. Don’t worry your wolf pack brothers and sisters will back you up. They will come to your aid. Belittle your opponent and just poke fun of them.
**** Rule 48: "Scorched Earth" policy. Do whatever it takes to win. Anything is on the table. Anything! The end justifies the means...no matter if it's illegal, immoral or whatever. Bully. Break laws, ignore rules, commit fraud, flee the state, change standards at will – but hold conservatives to a standard of absolute compliance.
