I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
For those who are looking for a quick and inexpensive day trip, why not consider a drive to our Stae Capitol in Madison.
We took a drive on Thursday to Madison. The guided tour of the Capitol is free and takes about 45-50 minutes. Our tour included stops in the Governor's meeting room, Supreme Court, Senate and House Assembly rooms. My kids enjoyed the experience having been to the Capitol in Washington last summer.
We also stopped in Sen Plale's office, but he was not in and he did not know we were coming. Sen Plale's staff was very welcoming. I have worked with them in the past on a couple of issues, so it was nice to finally put a face with a name.
We spent a couple of hours in the Capitol, then we stopped at the Wisconsin Veteran's Museum. It traced Wisconsin's roots in all of America's conflicts starting with the Civil War and continuing through today.
The kids, as well as the parents, enjoyed the trip. So I would highly reccommend it.
