Why Not

I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.

State Fair

It is amazing how a family of 5 can attend State Fair on a budget and still go home satisfied after a full day. Lucky for us, the coupon books included all of the kids favorite items, grilled cheese sandwich's, baked potato's and pizza.

The family attended State Fair on Wednesday for about 6 or 7 hours. After listening to 2 kids complain that it was to hot to be outside and boring walking in circles inside, I was surprised when I heard them both say it was a fun day.  The had a Wii, bags toss and cow milking contest on a stage in the convention area.  I guess between that and the ice cream to end the day, they really did have a good time.

As we walked through the indoor area, I had to laugh at how many items my wife would shout out they we have tried.  I would guess about 75%.  Of all of those items, I can honestly say that we continue to use all of 1, yes one, the shower head. Yes, we got the ladder, but I don't think it came from State Fair directly.  Angie would remember the times she would attend State Fair with her dad and probably stop at each demonstration and then buy the item.

Since the kids enjoy watching Glee, they enjoyed The Kids From Wisconsin.

It was probably one of our best quality family days in a while. No phone interuptions and no timetable as to where we needed to be.
